Seems Westley organised everything for pre season while we were managerless, and have to tip my hat.
Planned it very well on the face of it. Involving senior players who didnt play much towards end of season, mixed the youngsters.
The rest coming back later and in Cork with Slav.

He's stayed in Ireland. He's flying back tomorrow to watch the game and will be presented to the fans beforehand. He won't be in the dugout.

Work permit issue or not, the official line on this makes no sense. Why the fuck would he watch from the stands even if he isn't in charge? And why wait until now to announce it (tix $ale$?), if it was really an issue of needing to begin preparations earlier than his hire? and why wouldn't he be able to become a part of those preparations once he was hired?

I'd imagine the club/media have just used the wrong terminology. Until July 13 he would have needed a work permit but now it's just a registration certificate. Your job/qualification affects which certificate you have to apply for.
